Are You In Between Positions?
The Association offers support for Members who have left a position and are actively moving towards another.
Support services and opportunities include:
- Bridge the Gap Guidebook (Immediate Steps Checklist). Members can download the profile in the Library while Non-Members can order a hard copy in our online store.
- Waiving memberships fees for one year.
- Peer support service.
- The Mentorship Match Up provides opportunities to connect with others who have experienced transition and/or can provide some valuable tips on how to re-enter the workforce.
- One free workshop registration.
- Outplacement services (contact our Executive Director if you are interested).

lnterim CAO List
Are you looking for an Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) role?
Civic Ontario provides a list for municipalities experiencing a transition as a good will initiative. Situations differ in terms of the experience of the candidate, the municipality, the risks, current market conditions, and other factors. Those interested in adding their name to the list must be an Civic Ontario member in good standing who adheres to our Code of Ethics, and have at least 10 years of municipal experience—ideally 5+ as a CAO.
